  Kai’s first map, created without any prompting. On the bottom right is Oakland, in the middle on the left is Australia, and on the top right is lava. Apparently a volcano will be erupting in Oakland any day now. 

Unbelievable number of kids, candy strewn about the ground, go!  (Kai is at the bottom right.)

 First thing Kai said afterward was, “I didn’t get enough,” even though he actually picked up several pieces. 

 The expression on Kai’s face as he watches pal Declan eating a lollipop is priceless.
